Spring is all about starting fresh, and that’s why we’d like to take this opportunity to introduce the newest recruit to Blu: A Salon Company, Gabriella Brace.

What sets Gabriella apart from other stylists is her enormous heart. Her mission isn’t just to put butts in her chair, but to make each individual guest feel like her only guest – and for them to leave feeling like a celebrity. 

Gabriella has over ten years in the business, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t go above and beyond to continue to grow and build upon her already accomplished skillset. She recently joined our team on a trip to Manhattan to attend classes to learn the newest techniques in the industry. During this trip, we learned a lot about our newest stylist, and we’d like to share it with you! Ladies, and gentlemen, meet Gabriella Brace.

What are 3 words that describe you? Dedicated, Loyal, Optimistic.

How would you describe your personal style? Sophisticated, but still edgy.

What beauty trend are you obsessed with right now? I’m totally obsessed with hair painting and balayage! When a client lets you get creative with these looks, the feeling is intoxicating. There’s no better high than doing what you love and what you are obsessed with!

What inspires you? I am inspired daily by my guests and coworkers here at Blu: A Salon Company. Nothing is more fulfilling than a team that is behind you no matter what, and guests that let you express yourself on that canvas that is their hair.

Where did you go to school? I was fortunate enough to attend and graduate from Salem County Vocational School.

How long have you been a stylist? Over ten years! Wow! It’s crazy to think about that!

What made you want to become a hair stylist? I loved brushing and “styling” hair since I was 5. In fact, cut every doll’s hair that I ever had. I never doubted that I would become an amazing Cosmetologist and everyday I love what I do.

What do you love most about being part of Blu? Even though I only recently joined the Blu Team I have felt very welcomed and I greatly admire everyone’s enthusiasm for style and the dedication to our client’s satisfaction.

What would you say your specialty is? I specialize in listening. I think what sets me apart from other stylists is that I care about my clients needs, both with their beauty regimen and when they just need to vent about their day. It’s all part of my job, so listening is essential!

What’s something you wish more people knew about you? I have been blessed with opportunities volunteer at CHOP. Whether it was doing patient’s hair and nails for CHOP Prom or any of the other various opportunities I’ve had to work with that organization, I have been blessed to have been a part of these children’s lives and some of the biggest moments in their experiences at the hospital. 

Why do you love what you do? What I love most about what I do is that I get to bring my guests’ visions into real life. Making people look and feel beautiful is the most rewarding feeling.

What is one question that your guests ask you most? Patients always want to know if their dream look will look good on them, and if their normal routine is realistic for keeping it up. I always explain to them that great hair begins with the products you use, and luckily we have a ton of amazing ones and Blu!

What product is always in your handbag? Moroccan Oil Volume Root Boost. I never leave home without it and I recommend it to all of my guests!
